NORTHERN IRELAND and INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (18 July 2019) – Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) today announced that while he’s not in NTT IndyCar Series action this weekend, Jack Harvey will be on the road to promote the sport. Harvey, driver of the No. 60 AutoNation / SiriusXM Honda for MSR will be attending The 148th Open at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland with IndyCar series title sponsor NTT.
NTT DATA, part of the NTT family of companies, supports this world-class sporting event as the Official IT Provider and is engaged in groundbreaking work to offer spectators new ways to enjoy the competition including operation of the NTT DATA Wall, a giant digital screen in the Spectator Village, designed to use artificial intelligence (AI) technology for an enhanced fan viewing experience.
Harvey will be speaking at NTT DATA’s “Inside the Wall” business conference which will dive deeper into how data drives the performance of sport – including the NTT IndyCar Series. Attendees will hear about Harvey’s experience in the NTT IndyCar Series and how technology powers motorsports and driver performance.
Harvey and his MSR squad have grown their 2019 IndyCar program with ten race outings in partnership with AutoNation and SiriusXM after making six race appearances in 2018.
Harvey has responded to the expanded program with a rapid uptick in race results in 2019, including his breakthrough podium appearance following an inspired drive to third at the Indianapolis Grand Prix in May.
“I’m very excited to represent NTT at The Open,” said Harvey. “It’s such a bucket list sporting event and I’m grateful for the opportunity. I’m personally excited to attend – but to represent the NTT IndyCar series and present with our title sponsor is an incredibly special moment. Plus, its nearly home for me so it should be a great event.”
The Open is held on 14-22 July with the NTT DATA business conference set for Saturday, July 20th.
